2018 Rudy's Pro Redfish Series Updates

Hello everyone from us here at GCTA well since we had our last event we have gone through and done a lot.

When Harvey hit we had to cancel our Championship and go into Hurricane mode. With us down here in the Coastal Bend all worried about being in the path of this storm. We packed up and headed for the hill. We waited the storm out and started heading back to the Coastal Bend to find out that we here in Flour Bluff dodged a bullet, but our neighboring towns to the North of us were totally devastated. So, as we were driving back from the Ranch we put the wheels in motion to set up Food Camp at Redfish Bay Boathouse, we figured we would do better feeding everyone in the area than cutting down trees. Well, our assumption was correct, in a total of 13 days we feed warm hot 4-course meals for lunch and dinner for over 10,000 folks. we welcomed everyone, Rudy’s BBQ and Country store donated every day, with a whole bunch of friends that we have created over the years they started to deliver meat, water, bleach anything and everything to help the folks in Aransas Pass and surrounding areas. GCTA was awarded for helping assist 3 battalions of National Guard men and women on aid and assist on Hurricane Harvey efforts.

As we go forward we have set our make up date for the canceled event at Hopedale Marina on March 1,2,& 3 of 2018 the St. Bernard Parish and Pat Turner have gotten us into the big Los Islenos Festival for our Awards Ceremony on the Big Stage. Then we will resume our 2018 4 stop Pro Series with the kick off being our Event in Houma on May 3,4 & 5th 2018.

We will start with updates monthly on all events and news for our 2018 Season…
